Cell Phone Service

If your job requires you to be in constant reach and two-way radios and pagers do not suffice, your department may choose for you to have a cellular phone. Contracts and phone purchases are handled through Telecommunication. See its Web site at telecom.ua.edu for calling plans, available phones, and the approval form for cell phone service.

Personal Cell Phone Service

University cell phones are to be used for University business only. However, UA employees needing a cell phone for personal use can get a discount on a calling plan. For more information, see the Telecommunication Web site.
