Campus Computer Service and Support

If you have any problems with your office computer, applications, network connection, or e-mail, contact the Network and Computing Support HelpDesk at 348-2435. The HelpDesk is staffed with both students and professional employees to solve, track, and follow up on computer problems on campus. The HelpDesk also has a Web site, helpdesk.ua.edu, with information about campus computing, and an e-mail address, help.desk@ua.edu.

The Network and Computing Support group is staffed to send personnel to campus offices. If your problem is best suited for a house call, a HelpDesk consultant will work with you to make an appointment at a convenient time.

If your computer problem turns out to be hardware-related, you may be referred to the department of IT Equipment Services (ITES). ITES works on a departmental contract basis, and its technicians are certified to repair PCs, Apple computers, and printers. For more information, call 348-7509.
