Education Through Technology

Faculty members wanting to learn more about how technology can be integrated into the learning process can turn to the Faculty Development group in the Faculty Resource Center.

WebCT

WebCT is an online teaching and learning environment available for use by any faculty member wanting more than a static course Web site. It can be used to supplement traditional classes or to replace them altogether in a distance education scenario. WebCT courses can have discussion boards, chat rooms, areas for student presentations, audio and video material, and graded quizzes and tests. Your WebCT course can be limited to students enrolled in your class without requiring you to manage user names and passwords, making it easier for you to satisfy "fair use" copyright restrictions.
